Important Updates/Reminders:
- Not sure if items are approvable? Please check our Approved/Unapproved Resource to search for requested items by categories, names, keywords, etc. After checking the resource, if you are still not sure if items are approvable, please reach out to Enrichment via office hours, the Zoom Enrichment Channel Chat, telephone, or email before approving items.
- Educational Subscriptions for students are approvable when requested according to the following timeline:
- Up to 12 month subscriptions - Approvable from July 15 - November 21
- Up to 6 month subscriptions - Approvable after Thanksgiving Break to February 28
- Up to 3 month subscriptions - Approvable during the month of March
- All digital materials/subscriptions will be purchased under student's school-issued email address. These items will not be purchased under parents' personal email addresses.
- Annual student memberships and passes to educational locations are approvable when requested during the months of July, August, and September. Effective October 1st, only daily admission tickets are approvable. This family-led field trip list (internal resource only!) can provide you with some suggested field trip locations to share with your families. This sheet contains more detailed information about field trip locations.
- Chaperone tickets are not approvable for family-led field trips.
- Please be sure to add field trip dates to orders for family-led field trips. These field trips can only occur Monday - Friday, during school hours.
- The last day to place Enrichment order requests (products, services, and field trips) is March 31, 2026. Please help your families place Enrichment orders all year long!
- Educational services may begin being requested on July 28th for services starting August 14th (1st day of school) or later. Please do not approve services more than one month prior to the start date of services (too early).
- Please do not approve partial payments for services. The school provides students' entire public education program, and parents are prohibited from requesting that the school purchase educational services or items for their students where parents would also pay a portion of the cost.
- HSTs should not approve items for their own children. Please submit orders for students who live in your household to Secondary Approval.

This checklist outlines key information that families should be aware of regarding Enrichment. Proactively sharing these details at the beginning of the year can help set clear expectations and prevent potential misunderstandings later on.

General Overview:
Are you new to approving Enrichment orders? This video and these written instructions provide a general overview of the enrichment approval process and your role in that process as an HST.

Educational Quantities:
How much is too much to approve? This video explains what we mean by "educational quantity."
Considerations:
Before approving items or services, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I see educational value?
- Would the item be purchased by a brick and mortar school?
- Does the item support my student's educational plan?
- Are core curriculum needs being met?
- Is only what is needed being requested?
- Is the request educational quality (similar to what traditional brick and mortar schools could purchase/not top of the line)?
Please only approve orders if you can answer "yes" to the above questions.
