Anytime you become aware of any issues concerning custody, legal guardianship, and/or restraining orders, please verify that the school has the most current court documents and all attachments on file in School Pathways. These will be listed in the student's student notes on their Pathways dashboard. If the court documents are not on file with the school or are outdated, please request the most current documents from the parent/guardian.
Having the current custody agreement, legal guardianship document, and restraining order on file will assist all departments in ensuring we adhere to the agreements and we can properly notify the appropriate parents related to the child's education when needed.
For all custody agreements and restraining orders, we require the full court document, with the court date stamp and signature from the judge. If you receive any documents related to custody, legal guardianship, and/or restraining order, please upload them to the Updates Form. The Student Affairs Department will review the document(s) and update Pathways accordingly.
